My name is Sash :) I’m a swim instructor and the co-owner of OC Swim Org, alongside my husband, Coach Hayden. When I’m not in the pool coaching, I handle the OC Swim Org marketing and lifeguard at Crystal Cove State Park. Originally from South Africa, I come from a strong competitive swimming and lifesaving background and have been in the water since I was 18 months old. Hayden and I both still race competitively, and are currently training for the Olympics. We love teaching by example and showing our swimmers firsthand what dedication, hard work, and the love for swimming is all about. For the past two and a half years, I have been teaching swim lessons throughout Orange County, helping children build confidence, skills, and safety in the water. I have a teaching degree and a huge passion for working with children, but even more than that, I am passionate about water safety and competitive swimming, which is why being a swim instructor is so rewarding for me — it combines everything I love.
